Ever since the introduction of the Vertical Jig, we have known that lures that emit high-frequency vibrations are also extremely good catfish lures. We now want to make use of these properties not only for vertical fishing, but also for spin fishing. That’s why we created the Cat Seeker. Since the catfish in many well-known „spinning waters“ no longer react so well to blinkers, we are hoping for real magic moments with the Cat Seeker. Not much to say about the management style. It is most effective if you simply crank the Cat Seeker. The speed depends on the conditions. But you don’t have to pull it through the water particularly fast. If you want to consciously tap the bottom, it can simply be jigged like a rubber fish. However, in the „anjigg phase“ you have to „tug“ it more energetically, since the main stimuli of this type of lure are the high-frequency vibrations. The Cat Seeker is a real long-distance hunter due to its weight and stocky shape.
In order to hook our target fish safely, the single lure striker (single hook with twisted eye) in the rear area is usually sufficient. If the water is completely free of snags, you can, if necessary, attach a snap ring and another hook to the lower eyelet in the front bait area.
Black & White – Contrasts when fishing for catfish
As the topic of contrasts in catfish fishing is becoming more and more important, we have decided to bring our most common lures onto the market in different versions. In addition to our green standard company color, which is tried and tested and very eye-catching, there are now also unobtrusive black and high-contrast white versions in our range. Catfish do not see colour, but they can see contrast to some extent. Many specialists use this knowledge and, when choosing their artificial lure, pay attention to the contrast that emerges with dark or light colors in the respective underwater conditions.
